Box Score Playing inspired volleyball the Lehman Lightning (3-2) came up a little short in a thrilling five setter at the APEX in a non-conference match against CCNY.
 
The Beavers (3-0), undefeated this season, took the first set 25-11 but the Lightning rallied to win the next two 25-19 and 25-21.  The fourth set and the deciding fifth sets were nail biters as City prevailed 25-22 and 15-13.  The Lightning found themselves down 10-7 in the final set and rallied to knot it up at 10.  With the score tied at 13 the Beavers scored the final two points of the match to come away with the victory. 
 
Lehman returns to action with a pair of mid-week road tilts at St. Elizabeth's and at Yeshiva.  The Lightning return home on Saturday to host a tri-match with Drew and Neumann.
