Bronx, N.Y. – The Lehman College men's volleyball team defeated visiting York College-NY in three straight sets (25-11, 25-12, 25-21) in a CUNYAC encounter this afternoon at The APEX Main Gym. The Lightning improve to 7-13 overall record and 3-8 in CUNYAC action, while the Cardinals fall to 0-12 mark and 0-8 in conference play.
After losing the first two sets, York jumped out to a 10-5 lead in the third game. However, Lehman went on a 20-11 run to take the set and claim the match.
The Lightning were sparked by
Miguel Gonzalez who had seven kills and five digs, while
Christian Agudo dished out 16 assists and seven service aces.
Andrew Figueroa also added six aces, while
Oscar Garcia and
Ray Rodriguez both hit five kills each for Lehman.
Lehman concludes the regular season next Thursday with a conference match-up at Baruch College with first service set for 6 pm ET.
