Brooklyn, NY – The Lehman College men's volleyball team (4-8:0-3) was able to take one set from the Bulldogs (4-7:1-1) but fell 3-1 in a CUNYAC match.
The Lightning were led by
Ray Rodriguez. The freshman tallied 10 kills to lead all players and a pair of aces.
Miguel Gonzalez added eight kills.
Christian Agudo was credited with 21 assists while
Juan Lemus recorded 14 digs.
Brooklyn led wire-to-wire in winning the first set 25-17. In set two, the Lightning jumped out to an early lead, but the Bulldogs were able to rally knotting the score at 13. With the score tied at 17, the Bulldogs slowly pulled away en route to a 25-21 victory. In the third set, the Lightning prevailed 27-25 to avoid the sweep. In the fourth set with the score tied at 13, the Bulldogs went on a 5-1 run to take control going on to win the set 25-21.
Lehman returns to action on Tuesday night to host Hunter in another CUNYAC battle.
