Bronx, N.Y. – The Lehman College men's volleyball team lost in three straight sets (4-25, 20-25, 14-25) to visiting Hunter College in a CUNYAC match on Tuesday evening at The APEX Main Gym. The Lightning fall to 4-9 overall record and 0-4 in CUNYAC play, while the Hawks improve to 3-5 mark and 3-0 in conference play.
After Hunter easily won the first set, Lehman jumped out to a 13-9 lead in the second game. However, the Hawks went on a 16 to 7 run to take the second set.
In third set, the Lightning once again jumped out to an early lead, 4-2, however, the Hawks went on another run, this time, 23 to 10 to claim the set and the match.
Lehman was led by
Andrew Figueroa,
Miguel Gonzalez and Emmanuel Oladuso as they all had two kills each.
Ray Rodriguez grabbed nine digs, while
Isaac Reyes added seven digs for the Lightning.
The Lightning continue CUNYAC action on Thursday when they travel to take on York College-NY with first serve set for 7 pm ET.
