Brooklyn, N.Y. – The Lehman College softball team dropped the semifinal opener of the double-elimination CUNYAC Championships, 7-1, to Hunter College, at Brooklyn College Softball Field on Friday.

The Hawks' (20-11) pitcher Leah Dillon had a no-hitter going into the top of the sixth against the Lightning (11-15).  However, Lisette Guerrero ended Lehman's hitless streak with a single.

The other highlight for the Lightning came in the top of the seventh when Samantha Nazar tripled to start of the inning.  Nazar, then scored after a ground out RBI by teammate Michelle Frias for Lehman's only run of the game.

Hunter advances in the double-elimination tournament and will face John Jay College, which defeated Baruch College in the other semifinal, tomorrow (Saturday), Meanwhile, Baruch faces Lehman in the tournament's elimination bracket that is set for tomorrow iat 2 PM in Brooklyn, weather permitting.
