Box Score Bronx, N.Y. – Following the postponement of its Yeshiva University home match earlier in the week, the Lehman College women's tennis squad opened its fall season at home with an 8-1 loss to non-conference rival Farmingdale State College at The APEX Courts on Saturday.
 
The Lightning go to an 0-1 overall record, while the Rams improve to 2-1 mark.
 
The sole Lehman triumph came on number one single match as Viola Avdyli came back to defeat Anastasia Hoffman, (5-7, 7-5, 10-5).
 
The Lightning return to action on Thursday (September 22^nd) when they visit Sarah Lawrence College in a non-conference affair with the first serve set for 6 pm ET.
