Lehman fell to Eastern University 2-1 in men's soccer on the final day of the Eagle Road Classic. The Lightning now stand at 0-2-1. While the Eagles earned their first victory of the season after dropping three matches to start the 2022 campaign.
The game winner came in the final seconds (89:55) off the foot of Ryan Jammes, his first of the season. The goal was assisted by Gabriel Velazquez. The Falcons took an early lead as Derek Buhrman found the back of net just six minutes into the contest that was played in trying conditions as rain fell in suburban Philadelphia all afternoon. Buhrman took a feed from teammate Jake Morales just inside the box and slid the ball past Lehman keeper Adrian Magana Santos who started his first game of the season and took the loss. Lehman got the equalizer in the 35
th minute when
Phillip Osei netted his second goal of the year and second in two days off a pass from
Mohamed Ali Sogoba.
Eastern out-shot the Lehman 15-12 but the Lightning owned a 7-3 advantage in shots on goal.
The Lightning return to action on Wednesday as the return to the South Field to face Old Westbury at 6 PM.
