Jamaica, N.Y. – A 'double-double' (27 points, 11 rebounds) by Brianna Barnes led the Lehman College women's basketball team to a 60-51 CUNYAC victory against hosts York College-NY on Wednesday evening at Health & P.E. Complex.  The Lightning improved to a 6-8 overall ledger and 2-2 in CUNYAC play, while the Cardinals fall to 6-6 mark and 2-2 in conference action.
 
After trailing by eight points (26-18) at the intermission, Lehman went on a 30 to 15 run in the third quarter to take a seven-point lead  (48-41) and held on any rally by York-NY in the fourth period for the victory.
 
Forward Barbara Valentin notched a career-best 25 points for the Lightning, while center Myandra "Meme" Duquesnay had four points with 13 boards.
 
Lehman continues CUNYAC action on Saturday (January 14^th) when it travels to the Doghouse to take on the John Jay College Bloodhounds at 1 pm ET.
