The Lehman College women's swimming team defeated both John Jay and York in a double dual swim meet contested at the John Jay Pool earlier this evening.  Lehman defeated John Jay 49-45 and York 79-3. 
 
Ofelia Valadez took victories in the 1000 freestyle in a time of 14:45.80.  She followed that up with a victory in the 200 Individual Medley in a time of 2:55.42.  Arlene Suzana also grabbed a trio of victories.  She earned the top spot in the 50 free style in a time of 26.69.  She also touched the wall first in the 100 frees tyle in a time of 59.41and the 100 breaststroke in a time of 1:24.40.  Xitlali Martinez also finished first in the 100 butterfly in a time of 1:25.02.
 
The Lightning return to action on Thursday when they will host York again.  The Sarah Lawrence men will also compete in the meet that starts at 6 PM in APEX Pool.
