Game Recap: Men's Volleyball |

Lightning Split Season Opener

Wilkes-Barre, PA - The Lightning opened the 2023 men's volleyball season at the Wilkes College Tri-match.  Lehman fell to the hosts in the opener in in three straight, 25-12, 25-12 and 25-19.  In the night cap, the Lightning defeated Purchase in three sets by scores of 25-13, 25-19, and 25-22.

Against Wilkes, Miguel Gonzalez paced the Lightning with 5 kills and 9 digs.  Christian Agudo added 10 assists and a pair of services aces.  Against the Panthers, Gonzalez and Ray Rodriguez had 9 kills apiece will Chris Gil added six.  Agudo once again paced the Lightning in service aces with 4 and in assists with 30.  Jimmy Evens had a team high 16 digs. 

The Lightning return to action, on Monday, January 30 for their home opener with a rematch with Purchase.
