Bronx, N.Y. – The Lehman College women's basketball teams fell for a second consecutive evening as it lost 70-54 to hosts Hunter College in a CUNYAC encounter at the Sportsplex on Tuesday. The Lightning dropped to a 7-12 overall record and 3-5 in CUNYAC action, while the Hawks improved to a 10-9 mark and 5-3 in conference play.
Lehman trailed by just three points (15-12) at the end of first period, however Hunter went on a 21 to 7 run to close out the opening half and pull away for the victory.
Forward
Brianna Barnes scored 28 points and grabbed eight rebounds for the Lightning, while teammate Ramatoulaye "Rama" Diallo added 17 points.
Lehman returns to action on Friday (January 27
th) when it welcomes York College-NY in CUNYAC play at The APEX Main Gym with tip-off set for 7 pm ET.
