Bronx, N.Y. – Despite a 'double-double' of 28 points and 10 rebounds by forward Brianna Barnes wasn't enough as the Lehman College women's basketball team dropped a 70-64 CUNYAC encounter against visiting Hunter College at The APEX Main Gym on Friday. The Lightning fell to a 5-8 overall record and 1-2 in CUNYAC action, while the Hawks improved to an 8-6 mark and 3-0 in conference play.
After Lehman took a 31-30 lead into the intermission, Hunter outscored the hosts 21 to 17 in the third quarter and 19 to 17 in the final period for the victory.
Center Myandra "Meme" Duquesnay notched a Lighting-best 13 points, while forward Ramatoulaye "Rama" Diallo added 12 points.
Lehman continues CUNYAC play next Wednesday (January 11th) when it travels to take on York College-NY at 5 pm ET.
