Johan Martinez Moran and
Ebenezer Otoo had 2 goals each to pace the Lehman College men's soccer team to its third consecutive CUNYAC victory as it defeated hosts York College-NY, 8-1, at Roy Wilkins Park on Wednesday. The Lightning improved to a 4-4 overall ledger and an unblemished 3-0 in CUNYAC action, while the Cardinals go to a 0-9-1 mark and 0-5 in conference play.
Otto broke the scoreless deadlock in the 24th minute with his first tally of the game off a pass from midfielder
Demetrios Argyros. Argyros also assisted on Lehman's second goal of the match which was scored by midfielder
Brandon Dennis in the 35th minute-mark.
After Otto notched his second of the game in the 37th minute, York got on the board with a tally from forward Marvin Mondesir to make in 3-1 just before the intermission.
In the second stanza, the Lightning scored five more times with midfielders
Cameron Dennis (54th),
Adam Kowalski (58th), Moran (72nd, 84th) and
Eddy Vimos (90th) all finding the back of the net for the victory.
Lehman continues CUNYAC play on Saturday (October 14th) when it travels to Randall's Island to square off against the hosts John Jay College with kickoff set for 12:45 pm ET.
