Men’s Soccer Lose Heartbreaker At John Jay

Box Score New York, N.Y. – The three-game CUNYAC winning streak by the Lehman College men's soccer team came to an end on Saturday as it dropped a heartbreaking 1-0 decision against hosts John Jay College at Field #75 in Randall's Island.  The Lightning go to a 4-5 overall ledger and 3-1 in CUNYAC action, while the Bloodhounds improved to a 6-6-1 mark and 3-1-1 in conference play.

After a scoreless first half, forward Justin Gharbin notched the only tally of the match for the home side in the 50th minute-mark.  

Lehman looked to for the equalizer and had a its last chance with seconds remaining in the game, however defender Abdul Mateen Aminu's header was saved by John Jay goalkeeper Tyler Solis.

Netminder Andres Barajas made saves in the loss for the Lightning.

Lehman will look to get back on track next Monday (October 16th) when it returns to Randall's Island to take on the hosts Hunter College in a key CUNYAC encounter set for 8 pm ET.
