Phillip Osei scored twice to lead a 10-man Lehman College men's soccer team to a 2-0 triumph over the hosts Hunter College, in CUNYAC encounter, on Monday evening at Randall's Island Field. The Lightning improved to a 5-5 overall record and 4-1 in CUNYAC action, while the Hawks dropped to a 5-6-1 mark and 4-1-1 in conference play.
Osei opened the scoring in the 18th minute-mark off a pass from forward Ebenezer Otto for Lehman's 1-0 advantage.
In the 31st minute, the Lightning were reduced to 10 players after defender
Abdul Mateen Aminu was ejected from the encounter after receiving his second yellow card.
In the second half, Osei made it 2-0 for Lehman as he notched his fourth tally of the season off an assist from midfielder
Adam Kowalski.
The Lightning continue their road swing with another CUNYAC match-up on Wednesday (October 18th) as they take on Baruch College at Columbia University's Rocco B. Commisso Soccer Stadium.
