Bronx, N.Y. – The Lehman College women's volleyball team fell in three sets (13-25, 7-25, 6-25) to visiting Sarah Lawrence College, in a non-conference encounter, at The APEX Main Gym on Saturday. The Lightning go to a 3-14 overall record, while the Gryphons improved to a 9-9 mark.
After Lehman jumped to an early 6-5 lead in the opening set, Sarah Lawrence went on a 20 to 7 run to win the set. The Gryphon then claimed the next two sets to win the match after posting a total 16 serves aces.
Arianna Calderon led the Lightning offense with eight kills and six digs, while
Ana Mena dished out nine assists along with six digs and two kills.
Lehman continues is home stand at The APEX on Tuesday (October 24
th) when it takes on CCNY in a conference affair with first serve set for 7 pm ET.
