Bronx, N.Y. – The Lehman College women's volleyball team fell in three straight sets (6-25, 14-25, 10-25) to visiting CCNY, in a CUNYAC match-up, at The APEX Main Gym on Tuesday evening. The Lightning go to a 3-15 overall record and 2-4 in CUNYAC action, while the Beavers improved to a 7-10 mark and 3-4 in conference play.
After CCNY easily took the first two sets, Lehman held the 2-2 deadlock early in the third against the visitors. However, the Beavers went on a 23 to 8 run to claim the set and the match.
Elainne Rojas Mesa posted five kills and 10 digs for the Lightning, while
Daria Hernandez also had five kills along with nine digs.
Ana Mena dished out 12 assists, while
Arianna Calderon added three kills and six digs.
Lehman concludes the regular season on Tuesday (October 31
st) with a CUNYAC encounter at The APEX Main Gym against Baruch College at 7 pm ET.
