Bronx, N.Y. – A 'double-double' (14 kills, 20 digs) by
Arianna Calderon wasn't enough as the Lehman College women's volleyball team fell in three straight sets (9-25, 22-25, 21-25) to visiting Albertus Magnus in a non-conference match-up at The APEX Main Gym on Thursday. The Lightning go to a 1-11 overall record, while the Falcons improved to a 5-10 mark.
After dropping the first two sets, Lehman took a 20-18 advantage late in the third set. However, Albertus Magnus went on a 7-1 run to win the set and the match.
Elainne Rojas Mesa added five kills and 12 digs for the Lightning, while
Ana Mena dished out 22 assists and grabbed six digs.
Lehman will be back in action on Saturday (October 7th) as it hosts a CUNYAC Tri-Match against Hunter College and Medgar Evers College.
