Men’s Basketball Drop Heartbreaker At St. Joseph’s-NY

Brooklyn, N.Y. – A last second jumper by St. Joseph's University-NY's Jonathan Reno gave the Lehman College men's basketball team a 61-60 heartbreaking loss to hosts, in a non-conference encounter, on Tuesday evening at The Hill Center.  The Lightning now have an 0-5 overall record, while the Bears improved to a 1-4 mark.

After trailing by five-points (35-30) at the intermission, Lehman outscored St. Joseph's-NY, 30 to 24 in the second stanza to take a 60-59 advantage with three seconds remaining.  Then, the Bears hit the game-winning basket to hand the Lightning their sixth consecutive loss, going back to last season.

Forward Kai Parris led the Lehman offense with 19 points, while center DeAundre Manuel had a 'double-double' scoring 18 points and grabbing 16 rebounds.

The Lightning are back in action on Tuesday (November 28th) when they welcome Sarah Lawrence College in a non-conference match-up at The APEX Main Gym with tip-off set for 7 pm ET.
