Bronx, N.Y. – The Lehman College women's basketball team lost a 65-44 non-conference encounter to visiting U.S. Merchant Marine Academy (USMMA) on Tuesday evening at The APEX Main Gym.  The Lightning go to an 0-6 overall record, while the USMMA Mariners improved to a 2-0 mark.

After a 2-2 deadlock early on, the Mariners went on a 23 to 11 run in the first two quarters to take a 12-point halftime lead and never looked back.

Forward Ramatoulaye "Rama" Diallo led the Lightning offense with 17 points, six rebounds and four assists, while guard Shawnasia O'Faire added 14 points.

Lehman will commence CUNYAC action next month when it travels to take on York College-NY on December 1st at 5 pm ET.
