Women’s Basketball Fall To Hope College In Tourney Finale

Bronx, N.Y. – The Lehman College women's basketball team fell 93-31 to visiting Hope College in the final of the Coaches vs. Cancer Tournament on Friday at The APEX Main Gym.  The Lightning drop to a 2-9 overall record, while the Flying Dutch go to an 11-1 mark.

After Lehman held Hope tied (2-2) early in the opening quarter, the visiting side went on a 50 to 11 run to take a 39-point lead at the intermission.  The Flying Dutch then outscored the Lightning 41 to 18 in the second half for the victory.

The highlight for Lehman was forward Ramatoulaye "Rama" Diallo scored 10 points, while center Myandra "Meme" Duquesnay and guard Lady Ozoria added eight points each.

The Lightning are back in action in 2024 when it welcomes CCNY in a CUNYAC encounter at The APEX Main Gym on January 3rd, with tip-off set for 5 pm ET.
