Bronx, N.Y. – Four-game winning streak is what the Lehman College men's basketball team is riding after it topped visiting North Carolina Wesleyan University, 77-67, in a non-conference encounter, at The APEX Main Gym on Saturday afternoon. The Lightning go to a 4-5 overall record, while the Battling Bishops fall to a 4-4 mark.
After the first half ended tied 39-39, Lehman outscored NC Wesleyan 38 to 28 in the second stanza, which included 42 percent from three-point range, for the victory.
Guard
Jayden Stephens led four Lightning players in double-figures with 15 points. Center
DeAundre Manuel had a 'double-double' as he scored 14 points and grabbed 13 rebounds. Forward
Kai Parris also had a 'double-double' with 12 points and 10 boards, while teammate
Brandon Marks notched 11 points and eight rebounds.
Lehman will conclude 2023 part of its season when it hosts Hope College in a non-conference game at The APEX Main Gym on December 29
th with tip-off set for 5 pm ET.
