Brianna Barnes had a career-high 44 points for CUNYAC postseason bound Lehman College women's basketball team as it defeated hosts Medgar Evers College, 79-40, in the regular season finale, at Cougar Cave on Tuesday evening. The Lightning go to a 9-16 overall record and 5-9 in CUNYAC action, while the Cougars fall to a 2-21 mark and 0-14 in conference play.
Lehman jumped out to a 31-13 lead after the first quarter and never looked back as it also held Medgar Evers to just 30 percent shooting from the field.
Forward Ramatoulaye "Rama" Diallo added 17 points with eight assists for the Lightning.
Lehman, which finished sixth in conference play, will travel to take on the third seeded Hunter College this weekend.
