Brooklyn, N.Y. – The Lehman College men's volleyball team posted its first CUNYAC victory of the season after defeating hosts Medgar Evers College in three straight sets (25-17, 25-13, 25-23) at the Cougars Cave on Tuesday evening. The Lightning improved to a 3-4 overall record and 1-1 in CUNYAC action, while the Cougars dropped to a 1-1 mark and 1-1 in conference play.
After taking the first two games, Lehman trailed 16-14 in the third against Medgar. However, the Lightning went on an 11 to 7 run to win the set and the match.
Ray Rodriguez led the Lehman offense with 10 kills, while
Emmanuel Oladosu had six kills and two blocks.
Christian Agudo dished out 21 assists, while
Andrew Figueroa added five kills.
The Lightning are back in action on Saturday (February 25
th) when they travel to CUNYAC rival John Jay College for tri-match against the hosts and College of Mount Saint Vincent.
