Bronx, N.Y. – The Lehman College men's volleyball team defeated visiting Brooklyn College in three straight sets (25-18, 25-21, 25-22) in a CUNYAC match on Tuesday at The APEX Main Gym. The Lightning improved to a 5-5 overall record and 2-2 in CUNYAC action, while the Bulldogs drop to 4-8 mark and 0-3 in conference play.
After winning the first two sets, Lehman trailed by a single point (16-15) to Brooklyn in the third. However, the Lightning rallied to outscore the Bulldogs 10 to 6 to claim the set and win the match.
Miguel Gonzalez led the way for Lehman with a 'double-double' as he had 11 kills and 11 digs.
Christian Agudo dished out 23 assists with five services aces and seven digs, while
Ray Rodriguez notched five kills and grabbed eight digs.
The Lightning continue their home-stand on Thursday (March 2
nd) when they take on non-conference opponents College at Old Westbury and Yeshiva University, at 6 pm and 8 pm ET, respectively.
