Box Score 2 Bronx, N.Y. - Back-to-back 'double-doubles'
Christian Agudo helped the hosts Lehman College men's volleyball team post consecutive non-conference victories against College at Old Westbury and Yeshiva University on Thursday evening at The APEX Main Gym.
The Lightning (7-5) won opener in three sets (25-9, 25-15, 25-5) against Old Westbury Panthers (0-8). .
Ray Rodriguez paced the Lehman offense with seven kills, while Agudo had his first 'double-double' of the evening as he dished out 14 assists and 12 digs. Agudo also notched six kills.along with
Miguel Gonzalez and
Chris Mata came off the bench and had 13 assists.
In the nightcap, Lehman topped the Yeshiva Maccabees (3-6), three sets to one (25-19, 25-14, 25-27, 25-20). Agudo had 38 assists and 14 digs, while Rodriguez also earned a 'double-double' as he registered 19 kills and 12 digs.
Andrew Figueroa posted nine kills, while
Emmanuel Oladosu added eight.
The Lightning continue their home-stand at The APEX on Saturday (March 4th) when they take on Pratt Institute, in a non-conference affair, at noon.
