Bronx, N.Y. – A pair of 'double-doubles' from
Miguel Gonzalez (11 kills, 12 digs) and
Christian Agudo (31 assists, 15 digs) paced the Lehman College men's volleyball team to a 3-1 (25-18, 25-14, 23-25, 25-14) victory against visiting Medgar Evers College in a CUNYAC encounter on Tuesday evening at The APEX Main Gym. The Lightning go to a 10-6 overall ledger and 4-3 in CUNYAC action, while the Cougars drop to a 3-7 mark and 1-5 in conference play.
After winning the first two sets, Lehman had a 22-15 lead in the third, before Medgar went on a 10 to 2 run to claim the set. However, in the fourth set, the Lightning took a 6-1 advantage and never trailed after that to claim the match. The tenth victory by Lehman is also the most in a season since the 2018 campaign.
Andrew Figueroa and
Ray Rodriguez had seven kills each for the Lightning on Tuesday, while
Christopher Gil and
Emmanuel Oladosu notched six and five kills, respectively.
Lehman continues CUNYAC play on Thursday (March 16
th) when it travels to Manhattan to take on Baruch College at Arc Arena with first serve set for 6 pm ET.
