Men’s Volleyball Fall At Baruch

New York, N.Y. – The Lehman College men's volleyball team fell in three sets (15-25, 15-25, 16-25) to hosts Baruch College in a CUNYAC encounter on Thursday evening at the ARC Arena.  The Lightning drop to a 10-7 overall record and 4-4 in CUNYAC action, while the Bearcats improved to a 9-9 mark and 5-1 in conference play.
 
After Lehman took a 3-1 early lead in the opening set, Baruch went on a 24 to 12 run to win the set.  With the second set going to the Bearcats, the Lightning battled back in the third and took an 8-6 advantage; however, the hosts took control with another run (19 to 7) to claim the set and the match.
 
Ray Rodriguez led the Lehman offense with five kills, while Miguel Gonzalez added four.  Christian Agudo dished out 11 assists, while Christopher Gill had two kills and five digs.
 
The Lightning continue CUNYAC action on Saturday (March 18th) when they travels to take on CCNY at noon.
