New York, N.Y. - The Lehman men's volleyball team dropped a conference match in straight set falling 25-22, 25-19 and 25-19 to CCNY at Nat Holman Gym. The Lightning own a 10-8:4-5 record. City College now stands 10-3 overall:and 5-3 in conference play.
In the first set with the Lightning owning an 18-14 lead, the Beavers went on a 8-0 run before capturing the set 25-22. In the second, the Lightning trailed 17-9 before battling back. Lehman would run off the next seven points before falling 25-19. In the third set, with the scored knotted at 13, the Beavers went on a 6-0 run to take control of the set en route to a 25-19 victory.
Lehman was led by
Miguel Gonzalez with seven kills.
Ray Rodriguez added five kills and 14 digs.
Christian Agudo added 15 assists and Emmanuel Oladuso was credited with a pair of service aces and a pair of blocks.
The Lightning return home Tuesday night to face the Bloodhounds of John Jay. First serve is scheduled for 6 pm.
