Bronx, N.Y. – The Lehman College men's volleyball team dropped a three-set CUNYAC encounter (16-25, 23-25, 16-25) to visiting Hunter College at The APEX Main Gym on Tuesday evening. The Lightning go to a 10-13 overall record and 4-8 in CUNYAC action, while the Hawks improved to a 15-5 mark and a perfect 11-0 in conference play.
After losing the first set, Lehman jumped to a 13-6 lead in the second. However, Hunter went on a 19 to 10 run to win the second set. In the third game, the score was tied 10-10, when the Hawks pulled away after outscoring the Lightning 15 to 6 to take the set and the match.
Ray Rodriguez led the offense for Lehman with nine kills and eight digs, while
Miguel Gonzalez added four kills and
Emmanuel Oladosu had three kills.
Christian Agudo dished out 19 assists while grabbing five digs.
The Lightning will look to end their current seven-match losing streak when they travel to take on York College-NY in a CUNYAC encounter on Thursday (March 30th) with first serve set for 7 pm ET.
