Men’s Volleyball Defeat York-NY In Three Sets

Bronx, N.Y. – A total of 19 service aces by the Lehman College men's volleyball team gave way to a three-set victory (25-9, 25-12, 25-17) against visiting York College-NY in a CUNYAC encounter on Thursday at The APEX Main Gym.  The Lightning go to a 9-6 ledger and 3-3 in CUNYAC action, while the Cardinals drop to an 0-2 mark both overall and in conference play.
 
When York-NY took an early 1-0 lead in the first set, Lehman never trailed for the rest of the match while having an attacking percentage of .230 and limiting its opponent to just .018.
 
Ray Rodriguez led the Lightning offense with seven kills and 11 digs, while Emmanuel Oladosu had five kills.  Jimmy Evan notched four kills, while Christopher Gill added four kills and three service aces.  Andrew Figueroa posted a match-high five service aces, while Chris Mata dished out 11 assists and Christian Agudo had seven assists and six digs.
 
Lehman continues CUNYAC play next Tuesday (March 14th) when it hosts Medgar Evers College at The APEX Main Gym with first serve set for 6 pm ET.
