Baseball Falter At Saint Elizabeth University

Madison, N.J.  –  The Lehman College baseball team fell in a non-conference encounter, 17-4, against hosts Saint Elizabeth University on Wednesday at FDU-Florham.  The Lightning go to a 3-17 overall record while the Eagles improved to a 12-16 mark.

After Saint Elizabeth took a 3-0 lead, Lehman got on the board in the top of fourth when designated hitter Elias Fermin notched a homer run, his fifth of the season.  However, the Eagles scored four more times in the bottom half of the inning and eventually pulled away for the victory.

Fermin also went two-for-five from the plate scoring both Lightning runs, while infielder Ranssel Pinedo was three-for-four with a double and an RBI.

Lehman is back in action on Saturday (April 22nd) when it travels to take on John Jay College in a CUNYAC twin-bill at Trenton Thunder Ballpark with first pitch set for 3 pm ET.
