Wayne, N.J. – The Lehman College women's tennis team dropped a 6-3 non-conference decision at William Paterson University on Wednesday at Dr. Ginny Overdorf Tennis Courts.  The Lightning fell to an 0-2 overall record, while the Pioneers go to a 1-0 mark.

The Lehman duo of Viola Avdyli and Caroline Lopez were victorious in #1 doubles action after defeating William Paterson team of Isabella Paladino and Abigail Malandro.

In Singles action, Lightning's #1 Aydyli posted a 6-1, 6-2 win over Pioneers' Paladino.  In #2 action, Lopez was also victorious for Lehman, 6-0, 6-1, against Kourtney Hartzel.

The Lightning return to action on Saturday (September 16th) when they hosts Bard College in a non-conference match-up at The APEX Tennis Courts with first serve set for noon.
