Bronx, N.Y. – The Lehman College women's tennis team fell by a score of 9-0 to visiting Manhattanville College, in a non-conference match-up, at The APEX Courts on Thursday.  The Lightning drop to an 0-3 overall record, while the Valiants improved to a 2-1 mark.

After losing all three doubles encounters, Lehman avoided shutouts in five of the six singles encounters.

The highlights for the Lightning were Viola Avdyli as she lost #1 singles, 7-5, 6-1, to Valiants' Bea Pretnar, while Avril Vargas dropped 6-4, 6-3, decision in #6 singles to Mikhalia Grant.

Lehman continues its home stand on Saturday (September 23rd) when it takes on Kean University, in a non-conference affair, at The APEX Courts with first serve set for 1 pm ET.
