Brooklyn, N.Y. – The Lehman College women's volleyball team dropped a CUNYAC match, in three sets (12-25, 9-25, 3-25), to hosts Brooklyn College on Tuesday evening at West Quad Center. The Lightning fell to a 1-6 overall record and 0-2 in CUNYAC action, while the Bulldogs go to a 3-4 mark and 2-2 in conference play.
Lehman jumped out to a 5-3 lead early in the opening set, however, Brooklyn when on a 22 to 7 run to take the first game. Then, the Lightning took another early advantage (1-0), in the second set, however the Bulldogs quickly recovered to claim this one and the third to capture the match.
Elainne Rojas Mesa had four kills for Lehman, while
Arianna Calderon added two kills and six digs.
The Lightning return to action on Friday (September 22nd) when they hosts the College at Old Westbury, in a non-conference match-up, at The APEX Main Gym, with the first serve set for 6 pm ET.
