Box Score Bronx, N.Y. – The Lehman College women's volleyball team lost a three-set (21-25, 21-25, 20-25) non-conference encounter to visiting College at Old Westbury on Friday evening at The APEX Main Gym. The Lightning drop to a 1-7 overall record, while the Panthers go to a 1-6 mark.
Lehman took a 7-5 lead early in the first set, however Old Westbury went on a 20 to 14 run to take the opening set. The Panthers then won the second and third sets to claim the match.
Arianna Calderon led the Lightning offense with her first collegiate 'double-double' as she hit 14 kills and grabbed 15 digs.
Daria Hernandez also posted a 'double-double' for Lehman with 11 kills and 13 digs, while
Ana Mena dished out 23 assists, seven digs and five kills.
The Lightning will be back in action on Saturday (September 23
rd) when they travel to Newark, N.J. for a tri-match against Purchase College and the hosts Rutgers-Newark with first serve set for 11 am ET.
