Bronx, N.Y. – The Lehman College women's volleyball fell, in its season home opener, to non-conference opponent Purchase College, in three straight sets (11-25, 15-25, 19-25), at The APEX Main Gym on Tuesday evening. The Lightning dropped to a 0-2 mark, while the Panthers improved to a 1-0 record.
After losing the first set, Lehman took an early 3-2 lead in the second. However, Purchase went on a 23 to 12 run to win the second set. The Panthers then claimed the match by winning the third set.
Arianna Calderon had four kills and 11 digs for Lehman, while
Ana Mena also hit four kills along with seven assists.
The Lightning are back in action on Wednesday (September 6th) when they welcome University of Valley Forge in a non-conference encounter at The APEX Main Gym at 5 pm ET.
