Bronx, N.Y. – Despite another 'double-double' from forward Ramatoulaye "Rama" Diallo (14 points, 15 rebounds), the Lehman College women's basketball team fell by a score of 56-37 to visiting Brooklyn College, in a CUNYAC encounter, on Friday evening at The APEX Main Gym. The Lightning go to a 5-15 overall record and 4-5 in CUNYAC action, while the Bulldogs improved to a 12-6 mark and 7-1 in conference play.
After Lehman jumped out to an early 4-0 lead, Brooklyn went on a 15 to 4 run to take a six-point advantage at the end of first quarter and never looked back.
Center Myandra "Meme" Duquesnay added 11 points, six boards and five steals for the Lightning offense on Friday.
Lehman returns to action next Tuesday (January 30th) when it travels to Brooklyn for a CUNYAC match-up against the hosts Medgar Evers College at 6 pm ET.
