Camden, N.J. – The Lehman College women's tennis team fell 6-1 in a non-conference match-up at Rutgers-Camden on Monday at Rutgers-Camden Community Park. The Lightning dropped to a 3-7 overall record, while the Scarlet Raptors improved to a 5-3 mark.
After dropping all three doubles encounters, Lehman only got a victory in the #1-singles action when
Viola Avdyli defeated Rutgers-Camden's Julliane Jaugan (6-0, 2-4) after she retired from the match.
The Lightning could have had two wins in singles play, however #3-
Gabriela Vargas withdrew against Scarlet Raptors' Jayde Sue Silva after she won the first (8-7).
Lehman is back in action on Wednesday (October 16th) when it hosts William Paterson University, in a non-conference affair, at The APEX Tennis Courts, with doubles action commencing at 3:30 pm ET.
