Bronx, N.Y. – The Lehman College women's tennis team posted a 6-1 triumph over visiting William Paterson University, in a non-conference match, at The APEX Courts on Wednesday. The Lightning improved to a 4-7 overall record, while the Pioneers dropped to a 1-1 mark.
Lehman won two of the three doubles matches to commence the encounter with #1-

Vitoria Heloany Reis defeating Pioneers' Kourtney Hartzel/Sara Thomas (6-1) and Emily Hoosack/Hannah Posser (6-4), respectively.
Then the Lightning captured five of the six singles matchups as #1-Lopez defeated Hartzel 6-2, 6-1; #2-Vargas topped Thomas 6-1, 6-1; #4-
Fernanda Navarrete triumphed 6-4, 6-1 over Hoosack; #5-Nlemchukwu defeated Lindsey Acker, 6-4, 6-3; and
Isis Everett won 6-1, 6-2 over Posser.
Lehman returns to action on Saturday (October 19th) when it faces Albertus Magnus College, in its regular season home finale, at The APEX Tennis Courts with doubles action commencing at 1 pm ET.
