New York, N.Y. – The Lehman College women's volleyball team fell in three straight sets (10-25, 11-25, 5-25) to hosts Hunter College, in a CUNYAC match, at HC Sportsplex, on Tuesday evening. The Lightning go to a 5-11 overall record and 2-2 in conference play, while the Hawks improved to a 14-5 mark and 4-0 in CUNYAC action.
After a 2-2 tie in the commencement of the first set, Hunter went on a 23 to 8 run to take the set. Then, the Hawks easily won the next two sets to claim the match.
Arianna Calderon led the Lehman offense with five kills, while Sahaim Lora and
Erika Vasquez had three kills each.
Ana Mena dished out 10 assists and
Marlena Thoma grabbed five digs.
The Lightning are back in action next Thursday (October 24th) when they travel to take on Brooklyn College, in a CUNYAC affair, with first serve set for 6 pm ET.
