Bronx, N.Y. – The Lehman College women's tennis team (3-6) trails 3-0, in an unfinished non-conference match, against visiting Mount St. Mary's College-NY (4-6) that was stopped because of darkness on Wednesday at The APEX Courts.
Before it was unplayable due to darkness, Knights took two of the three doubles encounters to score the first point of the overall match. Lehman's

Gabriela Vargas were victorious in #1-doubles, 7-5, Autumn Strobach/Victoria Valencia of Mount. St. Mary's-NY.
Then, the Knights took two completed victories in singles as #3-Angelina Mainiero and #4-Megan Mann defeated the Lightning's
Elizabeth Nlemchukwu (6-0, 6-0) and
Fernanda Navarrete (6-2, 6-3), respectively.
In the other singles matches that weren't completed: #1-Lopez trailed 2-6, 3-4, Valencia; #2-Vargas & Strobach were at a stalemate (3-6, 6-4) before going into tiebreaker; as did Lehman's #5-
Amya Sanchez with Peyton Curley (0-6, 6-3, 3-1) of Mount St. Mary's-NY, while Lightning's #6-
Iris Everett was trailing (2-6, 2-2) against Knights' Paige Shrimpton.
Lehman is back in action on Monday (October 14th) when it travels to take on Rutgers University-Camden, in a non-conference match, at noon.
