Jersey City, N.J. – The Lehman College women's volleyball team fell, in a non-conference match-up, in three-sets (17-25, 11-25, 21-25), to hosts New Jersey City University, at the John J. Moore Athletics & Fitness Center on Friday evening. The Lightning go to a 6-13 overall record, while the Gothic Knights improved to an 11-14 mark.
After dropping the first two sets, Lehman took an 8-3 lead in the third set. However, New Jersey City went on a 22 to 13 run to win the set and the match.
Arianna Calderon led the way for the Lightning with a 'double-double' (10 kills, 10 digs), while
Cheyenne Gray-Taitt added three kills and
Ana Mena dished out 14 assists.
Lehman returns to action next Tuesday (November 5th) when it hosts John Jay College, in a CUNYAC encounter, at The APEX Main Gym with first serve set for 7 pm ET.
