Bronx, N.Y. – The Lehman College women's volleyball team dropped a three-set CUNYAC match (19-25, 20-25, 11-25) to visiting John Jay College, on Tuesday evening, at The APEX Main Gym. The Lightning go to a 6-14 overall record and 2-4 in CUNYAC action, while the Bloodhounds improved to a 19-6 mark and 6-1 in conference play.
After losing the first set, Lehman took an early 3-1 lead in the second. However, John Jay went on a 24 to 17 run to take the second set. The Bloodhounds then won the third set to claim the match.
Arianna Calderon led the way for the Lightnings with seven kills, while
Erika Vasquez notched four.
Ana Mena dished out 12 assists, while
Alanis Vasquez had three kills and eight digs.
Laura Pinales came off the bench to grab eight digs for Lehman.
The Lightning are back in action on Thursday (November 7th) when they travel to New Haven, Conn. to take on non-conference rival Albertus Magnus College.
