Towson, Md. – The Lehman College women's basketball team opened the Renie Amoss Tip-Off event, hosted by Goucher College, on Friday evening with a 66-53 loss to Lancaster Bible College at Decker Sports & Recreation Center. The Lightning go to a 1-2 overall record, while the Chargers improved to a 1-1 mark.
Lehman trailed by just a bucket after the first period (16-14), however Lancaster Bible went on a 17 to 14 run in the second quarter to take a five-point advantage at the intermission. The Chargers continued to lead in the next two period and held on for the victory.
Guard Heaven Figueroa scored 36 points with six rebounds for the Lightning, while forward Emily Kennedy added nine points.
Lehman concludes its participation at the Renie Amoss Tip-Off event on Saturday when it takes on Eastern Mennonite University at 4 pm ET.
