Bronx, N.Y. – The Lehman College women's soccer midfielder
Emily Huerta was selected CUNYAC Rookie of the Year, while three more of her teammates claimed conference postseason honors.
Huerta, who also made the CUNYAC all-star team, finished her inaugural season with the Lightning with a conference-leading total of 48 points: 16 goals, 16 assists (both second best CUNYAC). The Bronx native also started in 15 games and conference best four game-winning goals.
Forward
Lory Castro wins her first CUNYAC all-star accolades after totaling 38 points (16 goals, seven assists) in 15 games in her first season with Lehman.
Defender
Maria Martinez, who completed her third season with the Lightning, earned her first CUNYAC all-star honor after playing in 14 encounters, 12 as a starter, while scoring two goals and four assists.
Midfielder
Barbara Meda, who finished her second season with Lehman, saw action in 14 games as a starter, while notching 10 goals and three assists.
