The Lehman College women's basketball team closed out the Thanksgiving weekend downing Purchase  (1-6) 69-54 in the APEX to improve to 2-3 overall.  
 
Lehman trailed 29-23 with just over two minutes to play in the second quarter and went on a 22-0 run to take a 45-29 lead with 4:38 to play in the third.  The lead stayed in double figures the rest of the way.  
 
The Lightning were led by Heaven Figueroa's 25 points and 10 steals.  Newcomer Ciara Shillingford also secured a double double with 12 points and 10 rebounds.  Mush Muniru netted 16 points and freshman Julieni Martinez tallied double figures for the first time in her young career with 10 points. 
 
The Lightning are back in action are Friday evening as they open up league play at York.  Tip-off in Jamaica, NY is 5 PM.
