The Lehman College women's volleyball team fell in straight sets to Albertus Magnus in the final regular season road contest of the season. With the loss in New Haven, Connecticut the Lightning fall to 6-15 while Albertus Magnus improves to 13-16.
The Lightning looked like they were going to take the first set but the Falcons were able to battle back. Lehman was leading 22-17 and then again at 23-21 and 24-23 but could hold on dropping the opening set 26-24.
In the second set, the Falcons jumped out to a 13-6 lead. Lehman was able to trim the deficit to four (14-10) but was unable to get any closer, falling 25-15 in the second set.
The third set started with the Falcons going on an 8-0 run, cruising to a 25-10 victory.
Lehman concludes the regular season on Friday afternoon at 4 PM when the Bearcats invade the APEX. The winner of the Lehman-Baruch match will be the fifth seed in the upcoming CUNYAC Tournament. The loser will be the sixth seed. The CUNYAC Tournament gets underway next Tuesday.
