Bronx, N.Y. – The Lehman College men's and women's swimming teams dropped a double-dual meet to visiting Mount St. Mary's College-NY and Division II's Adelphi University on Friday evening at The APEX Pool.
The Lightning men (1-3) lost 96-85 to Mount St. Mary's Knights (2-2) and 162-56 to Adelphi Panthers (5-1). The Lehman women (0-4) dropped a 152-61 decision to Mount St. Mary's (4-2) and 167-42 to Adelphi (5-2).
The highlight for Lightning men on Friday was
Ronald Sanchez who won the 200 Freestyle with a time of 1:53.84.
Ronald Sanchez was along part of the runner-up squad at the 200 Freestyle Relay (1:44.52) with
Roger Sanchez,
Romulo Valadez and
Kenan Suwan.
Roger Sanchez also claimed silver in the 100 IM clocking in at 58.75.
For the Lehman women, Tricia Logan,
Mariella Nunez,
Amya Sanchez and
Arlene Suzana finished first in the 200 Freestyle Relay with a time of 2:08.48.
The Lightning women are back in action next Wednesday (November 13th) when then hosts Hunter College in a CUNYAC encounter at The APEX Swimming Pool with the first race set for 6 pm ET.
