Staten Island, N.Y. – Both Lehman College (men's and women's) indoor track and field teams competed on Friday at the Wagner College Seahawk Shootout at Ocean Breeze Park Athletic Complex that included Division I, II and III teams.

The highlight for the Lightning men was Nelson Benzan Jr. as he finished in the top 20 in the Shot Put with 12.37m (19th).  Benzan Jr. also was in the top 25 in the Weight Throw event (25th) with a 12.73m.

For the Lehman women, Mariam Konate earned a 6.42m (44th) in the Shot Put, while Amariah Emanuel-Tyler got 4.00m in the Long Jump (45th).

The Lightning will be back in action after the Holidays and New Year when they return to Staten Island to compete at the Wagner Invitational on January 3rd.
